In support of their joint LP Wake Up, which is a cover project of past classics composed by Bill Withers, Harold & The Blue Notes, Curtis Mayfield and many others, the skilled musicians performed Monday evening down at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in TriBeCa which was sponsored by Power 105.1. & IHeartRadio.

N.E.R.D journeyed out to Toronto last night to perform at York University and decided to debut a new track titled “I See The Light.” This will probably reside on their forthcoming project Nothing which is slated for a 2010 release.

Mark Zuckerberg is scheduled to appear on the Oprah show this week and announce he is donated $100,000,000 to the Newark public school system. His donation is expected to be matched by the mayor of Newark who has been looking for donations from private foundations. It is said that Newark spends close to $22,000 per student but only 50% of them actually make it to graduation which is amazingly bad. Hopefully this investment will turn a new leaf for the areas notoriously bad school system.

Earlier tonight, Nicki Minaj phoned into Funkmaster Flex’s show and they discussed (aside from Flex’s flirting) Justin Bieber’s kiss at the VMAs, Will.i.am’s black face, Drake’s verse on ‘Un-thinkable’ (which Nicki claims was for/about her,) visiting Lil Wayne five days ago in Rikers, the Montclair State University scam and, more importantly, the ‘Right Through Me‘ leak. She also mentions that she will have a new joint coming out in a few days that’ll be intended for the ‘streets’.
