There was some confusion previously about up and coming singer RaVaughn Brown and if she was signed to Ne-Yo’s Compound Label. It turns out Ne-Yo had just taken her under his tutelage, and Brown inked a deal with Columbia Records. Whatever the situation is, lets get down to the music, and the music sounds pretty nice. Take a listen to this preview of a brand new song by RaVaughn featuring Ne-Yo entitled “Shut Up A Minute.” The track has tags and isn’t full, but you can get a feeling for what these two are cooking up. ThisisRnB TV caught up with soul artist Allen Stone prior to he hit the stage at his sold out show at NYC’s SOB’s. The burgeoning singer/songwriter spoke about his socially conscious and politically inspired songs, including “What I’ve Seen,” and “Unaware.” Allen delved into his feelings about the state of our country, the economy, why things seem to have not changed, and more importantly being an artist that expresses these thoughts through soul music once again.

Day26 formerly of Bad Boy records is gearing up to release their first album since the departure from the label. The album is appropriately titled A New Day. They recently visited 106 and Park to discuss the now four man group (Que is no longer a member) and to drop off the visual for the albums lead single “Made Love Lately”. Although Day26 has had a few changes recently the music is still the same. Will you be copping A New Day when it drops?
