D’USSE enlists Jay-Z in the latest commercial for their cognac.
Jay-Z made history once again with his grand opening week of performances as the newly unveiled Barclay’s Center, home of the new Brooklyn Nets. For his closing show, the icon delivered for the audience his favorite artist – Beyonce.
The superstar surprise guest sent the arena into a roaring cheer as she hit the stage to perform “Diva” and was joined by her husband for “Crazy in Love.” She returned later in the show to duet on “Young Forever.”
The concert was streamed live via YouTube. If you missed it, catch the clips below…
It’s been a long road for Brooklyn, but the day is finally here. Later tonight, Jay-Z will christen the new billion-dollar Barclays Center with the first of eight concerts in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. Before the inaugural performance, celebrities, industry execs, and close friends of the mogul attended the opening of the new 40/40 club located in the new arena, which serves home for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets (formerly the New Jersey Nets).
Rihanna, Questlove of The Roots, J. Cole, Lyor Cohen, Angie Martinez, Anthony Mandler, NBA All-Stars Deron Williams and Joe Johnson, and our own Miss Info attended the swanky event. Fans who visit the new 40/40 club will also get a full view of the new hardwoord court, which opens for basketball when the Nets play the crosstown rivals New York Knicks on November 1.
“I walked around here earlier and I just seen everybody busy and at work trying to finish up and it was a great feeling. A guy stopped me in the hallway and said, ‘Man this is a great thing for New York City.’ And that’s what the whole thing was about.” said Jay-Z to MTV News when getting his first look of the new sports bar and nightclub on Thursday night.

In a sit-down with MTV News early last week, R. Kelly spoke about collaborations. Specifically his work with Jay-Z on “Best of Both Worlds,” a groundbreaking project, which unfortunately ended due to troubles on the road between the two artists, but in the clip Kellz says he is not opposed to working with anyone, as long as it is positive for both parties.
“I love a good marriage, I love love. Anything that works for me, anything that feels good to my soul, that feels like this is what I should do, I’m gonna do it,” Kelly told MTV. “I don’t care what it is, who it’s with. As long as it’s positive and it works for both parties, I’m with it.”
One unexpected artist that the R&B King could one day collaborate with is Trey Songz, the two had a quick online back and forth in the past, but when asked who he is listening to at the moment Kellz mentioned Trey, along with Drake, Lil Wayne, Rihanna and Beyoncé.
It does only seem right, Trey has always been a self-proclaimed avid R. Kelly fan, even with the past comments. The two both recently performed at Jamaica’s “Reggae Sumfest.” What do you think??
