Dressing up in their absolute best, stars from every aspect of the industry showed up to the Met Gala 2014. Held on Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, everyone who was just about anyone was in attendance looking very dapper.
Going with the dress code of “white tie,” this year’s event was inspired by British fashion designer Charles James – “America’s First Couturier”.
Taking a totally different lane of fashion than her choice at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, Rihanna was glowingly amazing in her white two-piece Stella McCartney ensemble. Sporting Givenchy while “on the run” were powerhouse couple Beyoncé and Jay Z, while crooner Frank Ocean was dapper in a white tuxedo.
Solange, who opted to dress in color, was seen in a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, and Janelle Monae looked stately in Tadashi Shoji.

Charlie Wilson seems like he’s hotter than ever these days. On the heels of his guest feature on Kanye West’s “Bound 2,” Uncle Charlie is working on his next album, which he says will feature plenty of uptempos.
“I’m waiting to go back into the studio to come up with really, really great uptempo records that I’ve been wanting to do since the Gap Band days,” he told Billboard’s The Juice.
Wilson also said that he’s been working with long time collaborators Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder. Wiz Khalifa also recently came up to Wilson during the 2014 GRAMMYs to ask for “a hook.”

During his recent visit to the UK, Charlie Wilson sat with SoulCulture TV for a candid interview. The R&B legend touched on his ability of staying relevant and remaining present in today’s mainstream music scene. He spoke about his admiration for Kanye West and their work together, sharing the story of when he spoke to him about calling himself a ‘god.’
Charlie talked about the current R&B artists he likes, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Trey Songz, Miguel and gave extra praise to those two ladies. He explained how when he talks to young male singers he always encourages them to dress well, to wear a suit and tie in particular in respect for the beautiful woman that admire them.

This is the Kanye we want! The Hip-Hop superstar made a surprise appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Monday night. Joined by the incomparable legend Charlie Wilson, who once again showed off his ageless vocal talent.
The frequent collaborators were backed up by The Roots and a small choir of young singers, as they performed the Yeezus cut “Bound 2″ for the very first time.
During the opening lines, Kanye fired back at Ray J by replacing some of the lyrics. “Brandy little sister lame and he know it now,” he rapped in response to Ray J’s Kim Kardashian ode “I Hit It First.”

The World Famous Tony Williams returns with a surprise for the Fourth of July weekend. The R&B crooner releases the new video for “Wake Up Girl,” the second single from the upcoming re-release of his debut album, King or The Fool.
The album is being completely re-mixed and re-mastered, with new songs included, and is due out July 23.
“Wake Up Girl” was produced by his cousin Kanye West and co-produced by Erwin Murphy and Chris ‘Cutta’ Baldwin. In the comedic visual the singer/songwriter stresses the struggle of sharing his real feelings for his girlfriend, while he attempts to wake her up, he gets frustrated and ends up eating some of her breakfast, off of her booty!
