Robin Thicke channels James Dean in the anticipated video for his latest single “Pretty Lil’ Heart” featuring Lil Wayne, off his new album Love After War. The cinematic visual, directed by Marc Klasfeld, was filmed at a famous motel in the desert.

“I just wanted to do something that brewed temptation and sensuality and sexuality, and left the audience wondering what happens next,” explained Thicke.

“Something that I feel sometimes, even though I want to be noticed and want to be appreciated, I still feel so small in this enormous universe, that I’m still just a monkey playing the cymbal,” stated Thicke as he spoke about remaking the classic scene in James Dean’s Rebel Without A Cause. “I really wanted to embody a little bit of that old cinematic charm, the golden age of Hollywood, and try to capture a little bit of that and put it into some soul music.”

All of last night’s events seem surreal right now, while most of the industry was in shock over the passing of Whitney Houston, there were still some parties in full effect. During the official Cash Money Pre-Grammy party last night, rap biggest star Lil Wayne addressed the crowd and made an interesting statement when saying he had singer/actress Christina Milian with him tonight, “Young Money!! Christina Milian, Yeaa!!” shouted Wayne. Could this be an official hint at a new signing? Check out the visual above, fast forward to the 3:30. What do you think??
